Last week's post wasn't about beauty so this week it's all about make up , more specifically NYX professional make-up review.It was only until recently that a NYX shop opened here in Malta. We've been buying products everytime we go on a shopping trip and so the collection have been growing and as we have been using the products for some time now , we thought it would be a great idea to share
with you our thoughts about the brand.

First of all , for professional make-up it is really affordable , it is not high end but not drugstore either. They have a vast category of products which come in different shades and colours.The Make-up Artists are also really helpful which is a plus .
I love these, Since I found them they're the only blushers that I use ! They're very pigmented , true to their colour and last on the skin for a long time . They have various colours , from pinks , corals and browns. Also , their blusher in Pinched is a dupe for famous NARS - Orgasm . The Taupe shade makes a great bronzer on light skin as it doesn't have that orange tint in it , Amazing for contour !
Jumbo Eye Pencils
These are a great pick-me up in the morning , you can just put this on and with little blending it looks like you have spent hours doing your make-up.These pencils are really pigmented and their colours are amazing , you can choose from neutral ones like we have or you can be adventurous and choose their more daring colours. The jumbo pencil in Milk , makes a great base for other eyeshadow and makes their colour pop due to the white base .
These come in a 'gloss-like tube' and a doe foot applicator , which may put-off some people but it actually makes it easier to apply. Although they are matte , these are not drying at all and their staying on power is tremendous, you could eat with these and they will stay their , even after removing them a tint may be still visible depending on the shade obviously.
These are hydrating lippies in the form of a crayon , with a twisting end , therefore there is no need for a sharpener for these. The colour payoff is sheer and more than one coat may be needed. Not sticky or heavy on the lips. Incredible for those cold and windy days or when you have chapped lips.
Affordable and stunning lipsticks which are matte. Not drying on the lips and last for a long time.No need for lipliner as they are pigmented enough and they don't tend to move during their wearing duration.
Is a water based foundation so its great for all who have the tedious oily skin problem and so it will help keep you matt all day . I personally you it on daily basis and can’t imagine my life without it . It has great coverage and if you’re using it for a going-out make up look you can easily build up the coverage. It is also so easy to blend out leaving you without any patches or brush streaks and the best of all it doesn’t leave your face make up look cakey . Since it helps keep you matte you don’t require using a lot of powder during the day and that is a plus as if your busy and don’t have time to blot you don’t need to worry that your face is all shiny.
As you can see from the pictures above , this palette resembles a lot the Naked 1 and Naked 2 Palette.The pigmentation is wonderful and as for one that doesn't normally wear a base under my shadows , they don't crease at all. A little bit of fall out may occur but nothing crazy. The colours are subtle and neutral , there is also darker colours which can transition a look from day to night. The palette includes 20 eyeshadows , 10 lip colours , a mirror and eyeshadow and lip applicator. The mirror is very handy as it makes it easier to travel and do my makeup on the go , the lip colours I don't normally use them as it can get really messy and as the applicators I prefer to use my other brushes.
B10 Eye Shadow Blending Brush - This brush is a miracle worker , it blends the eyeshadow beautifully and I sometimes even use to blend concealer.
B31 Small Eye Shadow Brush for Smokey eyes - Amazing to get into the crease and create smokey eyes or a cut crease look. Easy to use and blends really well.
Blushers

Butter Gloss
Hydrating and moisturising lip glosses with amazing colours. These are creamy and not sticky at all , makes your lip looks bit fuller and glossy. The Butter Gloss in the shade Angel's food cake is one of those ' the colour of your lip but better' shade which makes it a good lipgloss for everyday and even for those teenage girls who aren't allowed to wear make up at school . Also , they smell divine ; sweet and vanilla like.Soft Matte Lip Cream

HD Concealer
It is mineral enriched concealer that literally does miracles it can cover from enormous pimples to an all nighter without sleep dark circles it can hide anything and make your face look flawless. It comes with doe foot applicator so its easy to apply . It is also great to use as a highlighter and it blends easily as well. So if your in a rush in the morning and want to hide a good night out dark circles , this is the product for you !

B24 Kabuki Brush - It is used to contour bronzer and blusher. Blends really nicely without leaving any harsh lines .
B31 Small Eye Shadow Brush for Smokey eyes - Amazing to get into the crease and create smokey eyes or a cut crease look. Easy to use and blends really well.
B04 Cream Blush Brush - I must admit that its the only NYX product I am disappointed about , it doesn’t blend the product well leaves the make up look streaky and cakey, and just after few weeks from the purchase it broke . So this is unfortunately a product that I personally wouldn’t recommend .
As yet we haven't experienced any shedding and we use these brushes on a daily basis which shows how much we really like them !
The products are all purchased with our own money and no one asked to do this , we really like this brand and their products and we will surely be trying more of their items .
